Native to the tropical Americas and Caribbean islands, the soursop, also called "Graviola" or "Guyabano," is a large fruit in the custard apple family. Its creamy, custard-y flesh, due to a unique balance of sweetness, sourness and tanginess, has flavors reminiscent of several tropical fruits (banana, pineapple, coconut, mango, and citrus) depending on its ripeness.

Known for its health benefits, soursop fruit is a great source of fiber, vitamins and minerals, and it has strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
