Native to Thailand, the creamy Maha Chanok (pronounced "Ma-Ha Cha-Knock") mango is a unique variety with a pronounced oblong shape. Sometimes called the "Banana Mango" or "Rainbow Mango," this variety has a very sweet and floral flavor. The intense sweetness is balanced by a mild acidity and tartness that gives the fruit a melon-y, tangerine-like flavor quality.

The fruits are ready to be picked when their color begins transitioning to a beautiful yellow-gold during its ripening.

Due to their large size, Maha Chanok mango trees are not considered a good choice for growing in containers.
