Native to the Florida Keys, the Russell is an avocado with a unique appearance, and it is the most common long-neck avocado variety. Its flavor quality has a mild richness, sweetness, and nuttiness, and it overall is somewhat subdued. The flesh has low oil content and is smooth and buttery.
