The Hamlin is a very juicy, low-acid orange that traditionally has been one of the top juice orange varieties grown commercially throughout the United States. The fruit is easily peeled and is large compared to other orange varieties.

The Hamlin tree produces a heavy crop in what is considered the early portion of the citrus season (Oct-Jan) and is known to be one of the most cold-tolerant sweet oranges.
