The Mallika mango is a well-loved Indian variety due to its exceptional flavor. The flesh is exceptionally sweet and has a complex flavor profile with forward notes of honey, citrus (most prominent), and melon. The deep orange, aromatic flesh of the Mallika has no fiber and is very creamy.

For best flavor balance, the fruit should be picked when fully mature but left to ripen for 7-10, in a warm location, until the fruit is almost entirely yellow.

Due to their somewhat large size, Mallika mango trees are not considered a good choice for growing long-term in containers.
