About Our Trees

What growing conditions are best for a White Marsh Grapefruit Tree?

White Marsh Grapefruit Trees thrive in full sun and well-draining soil. Consistent watering during establishment and regular fertilization with a citrus-specific fertilizer will help encourage healthy growth and abundant harvests.

Is the White Marsh Grapefruit Tree self-pollinating?

Yes. White Marsh Grapefruit Trees are self-pollinating, so you only need one tree to produce fruit. Planting additional citrus trees nearby may help increase pollination activity and overall yields.

Can I grow a White Marsh Grapefruit Tree outside my growing zone?

Yes. If you live in a colder climate, dwarf and semi-dwarf White Marsh Grapefruit Trees can be successfully grown in containers and moved indoors or to a protected area before freezing temperatures arrive, allowing gardeners in many regions to enjoy fresh homegrown grapefruit.

How can I protect my tree from citrus greening and pests?

We highly recommend protecting your young trees from Asian psyllids and citrus greening (HLB) with a tree defender. For more information visit: www.thetreedefender.com

Should I mulch around my tree?

Do not pile mulch against the trunk. Excess moisture around the trunk can lead to decline, disease, and possible tree loss.
