Product Information

Backyard Citrus Trees specializes in live citrus trees and related nursery products. Because plants are living products, natural variations in size, shape, foliage, fruit production, and appearance may occur.

Product photos are intended as representations of the varieties offered and may not reflect the exact tree received.

Order Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

We reserve the right to:

Refuse or cancel any order
Limit quantities purchased
Correct pricing or listing errors
Restrict sales based on shipping regulations or plant availability

If an order is canceled after payment has been processed, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.

Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars.

Payment is due in full at the time of purchase.

We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time without prior notice. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been placed and accepted.

Shipping

Shipping costs are included in the listed product price unless otherwise stated.

Most orders are processed and shipped within 24–48 business hours.

Orders placed Friday through Sunday will generally ship on the next business day.

Because we ship live plants, shipping schedules may occasionally be adjusted due to weather conditions or other circumstances that could impact plant health during transit.

Shipping Restrictions

Due to state and federal agricultural regulations, Backyard Citrus Trees is unable to ship citrus trees to the following locations:

Alabama (AL)
Arizona (AZ)
California (CA)
Hawaii (HI)
Louisiana (LA)
Texas (TX)
Puerto Rico (PR)

Delivery Responsibility

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

Backyard Citrus Trees is not responsible for:

Incorrect shipping addresses
Undeliverable packages caused by customer error
Delays caused by carriers
Missed deliveries
Theft after delivery confirmation

Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon carrier delivery confirmation.

Live Plant Disclaimer

Live plants are affected by environmental conditions, planting practices, weather, watering schedules, pests, diseases, and other factors beyond our control.

Backyard Citrus Trees does not guarantee:

Specific growth rates
Fruit production timelines
Survival after planting
Future tree performance
Resistance to weather, pests, or disease

Customer success depends largely on proper planting, care, maintenance, and environmental conditions.

Citrus Greening and Plant Health

Customers acknowledge that citrus trees are agricultural products subject to diseases, pests, and environmental challenges, including citrus greening (HLB).

While we take every reasonable measure to provide healthy trees, Backyard Citrus Trees cannot guarantee immunity from future disease exposure after delivery.

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

Due to the perishable nature of live plants, all sales are final.

We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on live plant material.

Customers must inspect shipments immediately upon arrival.

Any shipping-related damage claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery and must include:

Photos of the tree
Photos of the packaging
Photos of the shipping label

Claims submitted after this period may not be eligible for review.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Backyard Citrus Trees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the purchase, shipment, planting, care, or use of products purchased from our website.

Our maximum liability shall never exceed the amount paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

Compliance With Local Regulations

Customers are responsible for ensuring that purchased products may legally be received, planted, or possessed in their location.

Backyard Citrus Trees reserves the right to restrict shipments to certain states, counties, or jurisdictions due to agricultural regulations.

Force Majeure

Backyard Citrus Trees shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

Severe weather
Natural disasters
Government actions

Supply chain disruptions

Transportation interruptions
Carrier delays
