In order to get have their renowned flavor, Fruit Punch mangos should be picked before fully ripening, when they reach maturity and are just beginning the ripening process - when the green skin begins transitioning to yellow.
Due to their large size, Haden mango trees are not considered a good choice for growing long-term in containers.
