The Haden mango is the mango that gave Florida a name in the commercial production of mangos and has an impressive lineage of descendant varieties. Its moderately fibrous quality gives it a flavor which is very much that of a classic mango with a little sweetness.

Haden mangos should be picked before fully ripening, when they reach maturity and just beginning the ripening process.

Due to their large size, Haden mango trees are not considered a good choice for growing in containers.
