The Kaffir Lime, also known as the Makrut Lime, is a unique citrus variety treasured throughout Southeast Asia for its intensely fragrant leaves and aromatic fruit. While the small, bumpy fruit has culinary uses, it is the glossy double leaves that make this tree especially valuable. They are an essential ingredient in many Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and other Southeast Asian dishes, adding a bold citrus aroma to soups, curries, stir-fries, and sauces.
This attractive evergreen tree has a naturally shrubby growth habit and produces fruit throughout the year in warm climates. Its ornamental appearance, fragrant foliage, and exceptional culinary value make the Kaffir Lime an excellent addition to edible gardens, container plantings, and backyard orchards.

- Water consistently while the tree becomes established.
- Feed regularly with a citrus-specific fertilizer.
- Protect young trees from freezing temperatures.
