About Our Trees

What does Roble Sweet Orange taste like?

Roble produces a classic sweet-orange flavor with a juicy, refreshing taste. As an early-season orange, it’s a great choice for enjoying fresh citrus earlier in the season.

When can I expect Roble oranges to ripen?

Roble is considered an early-season sweet orange, with fruit generally ripening from October through December. Harvest timing can vary somewhat depending on your climate and growing conditions.

Does Roble Sweet Orange need another citrus tree for pollination?

No. Roble Sweet Orange is self-fertile and does not require another citrus tree for pollination. However, bees and other pollinators visiting the blossoms can help encourage good fruit set.

How can I protect my tree from citrus greening and pests?

We highly recommend protecting your young trees from Asian psyllids and citrus greening (HLB) with a tree defender. For more information visit: www.thetreedefender.com

Should I mulch around my tree?

Do not pile mulch against the trunk. Excess moisture around the trunk can lead to decline, disease, and possible tree loss.
