The Persian Lime is the world's most widely grown lime variety and the standard choice for home kitchens, restaurants, and commercial production. Believed to have originated from a natural cross between the Key Lime and Lemon in Persia (modern-day Iran) and Iraq, this popular citrus variety produces large, juicy, seedless fruit with a bright, refreshing flavor that's slightly less acidic than Key Limes.
Persian Lime trees are relatively thornless, easy to grow, and produce fruit throughout the year, with the heaviest harvests occurring during the summer months. Their dependable production, attractive evergreen foliage, and versatile fruit make them an outstanding choice for backyard orchards, patios, and edible landscapes.

For best results:
- Plant in a location that receives at least 6–8 hours of sunlight daily.
- Use well-draining soil or a quality citrus potting mix.
- Water consistently while the tree becomes established.
- Feed regularly with a citrus-specific fertilizer.
- Protect young trees from freezing temperatures.
