Native to South America, the Yellow Dragon Fruit, or "Pitahaya," is a small to medium-sized variety of dragon fruit. Its ripened skin is a beautiful yellow color, and its dense, succulent flesh's texture is likened to be a cross between a kiwi and a pear. Its flavor is mild, sweet and slightly tangy.
Dragon fruit requires well-draining soil, preferably a sandy cactus mix, and full sun or partial shade.
