About Our Trees

Why is the Lee Tangerine Tree a great choice for home gardeners?

The Lee Tangerine Tree is appreciated for its manageable growth, dependable harvests, and delicious fruit. Its attractive evergreen canopy and fragrant spring blossoms also make it a beautiful ornamental tree that adds year-round interest to the landscape.

Can the Lee Tangerine Tree be grown in a container?

Yes. Dwarf and semi-dwarf Lee Tangerine Trees thrive in large containers with well-draining soil and plenty of sunlight. Container growing is ideal for patios and for gardeners in cooler climates who need to protect their trees during freezing weather.

How do I keep my Lee Tangerine Tree healthy and productive?

For the best results, plant your Lee Tangerine Tree in full sun, water consistently while it becomes established, and feed it regularly with a citrus-specific fertilizer. Routine care, including occasional pruning and monitoring for pests, will help support vigorous growth and reliable fruit production.

How can I protect my tree from citrus greening and pests?

We highly recommend protecting your young trees from Asian psyllids and citrus greening (HLB) with a tree defender. For more information visit: www.thetreedefender.com

Should I mulch around my tree?

Do not pile mulch against the trunk. Excess moisture around the trunk can lead to decline, disease, and possible tree loss.
