About Our Trees

How do I care for a Glen Navel Orange Tree?

For the healthiest tree, plant it in full sun, water consistently while it becomes established, and fertilize regularly with a citrus-specific fertilizer. Annual pruning to remove dead or damaged branches will also help maintain a strong, productive tree.

Why is the Glen Navel Orange Tree a popular choice for home gardeners?

The Glen Navel Orange Tree is prized for its dependable production, easy-to-peel fruit, and adaptability to home landscapes. Its attractive evergreen foliage, fragrant spring blossoms, and reliable harvests make it an excellent choice for backyard orchards, patios, and edible landscapes.

Can the Glen Navel Orange Tree be grown in a container?

Yes. Dwarf and semi-dwarf Glen Navel Orange Trees grow exceptionally well in containers. Plant in a large pot with well-draining soil and provide at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight for healthy growth and fruit production.

How can I protect my tree from citrus greening and pests?

We highly recommend protecting your young trees from Asian psyllids and citrus greening (HLB) with a tree defender. For more information visit: www.thetreedefender.com

Should I mulch around my tree?

Do not pile mulch against the trunk. Excess moisture around the trunk can lead to decline, disease, and possible tree loss.
